Delmec Engineering Ltd has an impeccable Health and Safety record and has always strived to continuously improve its Health and Safety processes and practices. Delmec Engineering Ltd is in the process of implementing the ISO 1800 OHSAS standard. This system will be complete in 12 months.

SAFETY STATEMENT

General Policy

It is the policy of Delmec Engineering Ltd, to do all that is reasonably practicable to protect our employees, contractors and others from foreseeable work hazards, workplace accidents and ill health at work.     
In recognition of our responsibilities under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and Safety Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 , the company regards the successful management of health and safety as equal to all its other business activities.
The co-operation of all employees, contractors and other service providers is vital for the promotion of health and safety within this business.
Delmec Engineering Ltd intends to comply with relevant statutory requirements and codes of practice. We will use expert advice on best business practice in furtherance of our health and safety arrangements.  In particular we will:-    
•    Carry out workplace risk assessments for employees who work for the company.
•    Provide and maintain safe working conditions and equipment.
•    Provide instruction, information, training and supervision in a form, manner and as appropriate, a language that is reasonably likely to be understood by Delmec Engineering Ltd employees.
•    Provide suitable protective equipment where necessary.
•    Provide adequate resources to fulfil our company policy.   
We encourage active consultation with employees and invite suggestions for improvement in health and safety measures.   
As an employer we recognise that we cannot fulfil this policy without the support of all staff.  In this regard, employees have a duty to co-operate by:-    
•    Taking reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of any other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions while at work.
•    Adhering in all circumstances to Delmec Engineering Ltd and our client's safety rules and requirements.
•    Using protective equipment / clothing provided.
•    Reporting any accident or dangerous incident, which causes or may cause an injury to persons, or damage to a client's property or equipment.
